Welcome to Syngonium ID — a home for everyone who's fallen down the Syngonium rabbit hole.
Syngoniums are some of the most variable, most collectible aroids out there — the same species can look completely different depending on light, age, and genetics, which makes accurate ID genuinely tricky (and genuinely fun). This community grew out of a ~30,000-member Facebook group built around exactly that: helping people figure out what they're actually growing, and sharing the care knowledge that keeps it thriving.
What you'll find here:
- A growing dictionary of Syngonium species and cultivars, each with care details, photos from real growers, and identifying characteristics
- A place to suggest edits or add species we're missing — every entry is community-built and leader-reviewed
- Care guidance covering light, water, humidity, and substrate for the trickier varieties
Whether you're trying to identify a mystery cutting or just want to see what other collectors are growing, you're in the right place.
