Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-01
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Plant ID Communities, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
The service
Plant ID Communities hosts community-curated dictionaries of plant species and care information. Content is contributed and reviewed by community leaders and members; while we expect leaders to review submissions carefully, we do not independently verify every piece of care or identification information, and it should not be treated as professional horticultural or safety advice.
Your account
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Content you submit
When you suggest a species, upload a photo, or submit any other content, you retain ownership of it but grant Plant ID Communities a license to display and distribute it as part of the platform. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit that content, and community leaders may edit, reject, or remove submissions at their discretion.
Community leadership
Community leaders are granted moderation permissions scoped to their own community — approving or rejecting suggested species and photos, and managing that community's content. Leadership status can be granted or revoked by a platform admin at any time.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use the platform to submit false, misleading, or harmful identification/care information, infringe on others' intellectual property, harass other users, or attempt to circumvent the platform's access controls.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the platform, or to a specific community, for violations of these terms. We may also update these terms from time to time; continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
Plant ID Communities is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on content submitted by community leaders or members, including care or identification information.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
