Who we are

Plant ID Communities operates this platform and is the data controller for the personal information described below.

What we collect

Account information: your email address, and any display name, bio, or avatar you choose to add in Settings.

Content you submit: species suggestions, photos, community applications, and messages you send us through the contact form.

Authentication data handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase, including sign-in method (email/password or Google/Facebook OAuth) and session tokens.

How we use it

To operate your account, display your profile and contributions on community pages, route review queues to the right community leaders, and respond to messages you send us.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers, Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Vercel (hosting), in accordance with their own security and data-processing practices.

Retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us — see the Contact page.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. Profile fields (display name, bio) can be edited directly from Settings.

Security

Access to platform data is governed by row-level security policies scoped to your account and role, so that only you, the relevant community leaders, and platform admins can see or act on data they're authorized to.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
